Adapted Physical Activity (APA)
Adapted Physical Activity (APA) consists of a programme of tailored exercises for mobilisation of the musculoskeletal system, building stamina and improving muscle strength and coordination. It also improves the cardio-vascular system’s response to exercise.
Through expertise in movement science and physical training, APA specialists devise special programmes appropriate to each patient’s condition. APA is generally offered in parallel to physiotherapy treatment, either to consolidate acquired skills or to independently work through a personal training programme, under the surveillance and guidance of a recognised therapist.
